The Old Testament Bible characther Jacob wrestled with God...and won. The Lord appeared in the form of a man to test his servant's perseverance. When the man couldn't win, he dislocated his opponent's hip. But Jacob hung on tight, saying, "I will not let you go unless you bless me." God did what he asked and blessed him.

Let's take this morality thing to the next level. You know you can count on God's rock-solid Word to help you make decisions. But look at your ocmplicated life. Deciding isn't always easy. Some questions about right and wrong just don't have simple answers.
When you were little, your moral choices were way more manageable: Should I lie to my parents? Should I get on my little brother for being a pain? Should I put my quarter in the offering or keep it? The answers were clear. Okay, so it wasn't always easy for you to do what was right, but it was pretty easy to figure out what was right.
As you get older, life got more complex. Now you may wonder if God has anything helpful to say about the tough choices you make. He does! But hearing him takes faith. To trust Him with your moral choices, we need to ...
~ Believe that God wants what's best for us. Sometimes moral choices are hard. not because we don't know God's way, but because we don't like it. When the world says, "Try this!" and God says, "Don't do it," we feel like God's trying to ruin our fun. But that's not true. Every boundary God has set is there because he created us and knows what's best for us.
~ Believe that God gives all the help we need. Second Peter 1:3 (NLT) says God "Gives us everything we need for living a godly life." He didn't leave anything out. No, he didn't give us specific rules for every situation, but he gave us plenty of principles to apply to our lives. These principles are based on who he is: good, holy, perfect, and awesome! And they're found - guess where? IN HIS WORD!
"As we know Jesus better, His divine power gives us everything we need for living a godly life, He has called us to receive His own glory and goodness!"
2 Peter 1:3 (NLT)
